Another Fiver of Sixth Team

BMM Klasse 3.2 1213
Round 7 on 17/02/2013
SF Nord-Ost Berlin 5 - SF Berlin 1903 6    2.5 : 5.5

The trains took us this time to North of Berlin to Buch, where we played SF Nord-Ost Berlin 5
and won with another fiver - 5.5 points.

Very nice venue - Jugendclub „Der Alte“ is currently refurbished by the help of European Union
- European Funds for Regional Development. The facade is still in scaffolds but inside works were already done. With a couple of rooms on ground and 1st storey, bar-kitchen, lounge and small library-play room - it is very pleasant environment. If only someone though of chess players when installing heavy automatic doors, which make terrible noise. Recently we saw also in Kreuzberg this type of clubs, modernized with spacious airy rooms for chess enthusiasts - and it is reassuring that chess clubs in Berlin are not only tenants anymore.

9 SC Schwarz-Weiß Lichtenrade 4 7 0 2 5 2 18.5

while the direct duel for the 3rd place is after Easter in the last round (Runde 9 am 21.04.2013)
when both SFB and Königsjäger Süd-West have easier/weaker oponents:

SK König Tegel 1949 6 - SC Kreuzberg 10
SG Treptow-Baumschulenweg 5 - SF Berlin 1903 6
SV Königsjäger Süd-West 4 - SK Dragojle Babic 2

Game presentation is Dambach - Otto (on the photo R to L; White just played move 21) on the 3rd board.
Queen’s Indian, 5.Bg2 Be7 (E17) with double fianchetto, played frequently by famous Yugoslav GM Borislav Ivkov (as White), and Karpov and Tiviakov (NED) (as Black), which Black didn’t treat in a pure manner. It isn’t clear to me personally what coaches achieve by shuffling players on boards according to their strength (DWZ) (in Bundesliga they are strictly lined-up by their ELO), although young Nöldner won on the 8th board for Nord-Ost - instead of being on 3rd board, by strength (DWZ 1184) in his team.

    Hey Dalibor,

thanks for the great work - I like the first picture of the gallery most with Michael, Johannes and yourself - and the one with the two big TV screens. Congrats for the good result.
